The construction of the Taluk hospital building has been completed. The aim is to start operations in June. The new building will house the OP (Outpatient Department), Emergency Department, Operation Theater, and Lab. The three-story building was constructed at a cost of 13.51 crore rupees from the KIIFB fund. It will have facilities including an elevator. The construction responsibility was assigned to Nenmara Modcon Healthcare. Only the necessary furniture remains to be installed in the building. This will be completed by next week. A parking area has also been arranged. Over a thousand patients visit the Ottapalam Taluk Hospital daily. MLA K. Prem Kumar visited the hospital and evaluated the construction. Hospital Superintendent V. Amit Kumar was also present.
